Across Many Mountains is the remarkable true story of three generations of Tibetan women: Kunsang, her daughter Sonam, and her granddaughter Yangzom. Kunsang, a Buddhist nun, and her husband flee Tibet during the Chinese occupation, embarking on a harrowing journey to India. The story follows their struggles as refugees, their cultural preservation in a foreign land, and Yangzom’s personal journey of identity and activism as a Tibetan living in the West. This deeply moving memoir highlights the power of family, resilience, and faith in the face of displacement and oppression.
